Rena Bell Jackson Tinney

Rena Bell Jackson Tinney died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at Hill Country Care Center. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 19, at Graham Funeral Home Chapel with Ed Glenn officiating. Burial was at Junction Cemetery.
Mrs. Tinney was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.
Rena Bell was born to John Monroe Jackson and Lillie Sonora Stewart on July 9, 1914, in Youngsport. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elbert (Ike) Tinney, a son, Noel Tinney, and a daughter, Peggy Welch.
Survivors include four sons, John and his wife, Judy, and James and his wife, Debbie, of Junction, Glen and his wife, Espy, of Ozona, and Tommy and his wife, Debbie, of Ingram; three daughters, Phyllis and her husband, Pete, of Liverpool, Virginia and husband, Richard, of Christoval, and Rena Bell Tinney Glover Sue of Junction. Two sisters, Lillie Ellis of Harker Hights and Lucille Dennis of Levelland; nineteen grandchildren, eighteen great-great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were her grandchildren.

Myrlin C. Balzen

Myrlin C. Balzen, 85, died in Kerrville, June 10, 2004, after a long illness. He was born May 5, 1919.
Myrlin began his early education at the Sturm Hill School in Quihi, Texas.
He entered the Air Force in October 1939, and he retired in November 1959. He was a flight engineer in the 49th Fighter Group in the South Pacific. He was a gifted mechanic and a person who would attempt any repair project large or small.
Myrlin is survived by his wife of 62 years, Viva Louise Balzen.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest W. Balzen, and his mother, Angelina Burger.
Myrlin will be greatly missed by his relatives and friends including Mildred Waring of Junction.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at the Church of the Latter Day Saints, at the corner of Coronado and Lois Street in Kerrville.
