While on this earth for a time, far shorter than his family would have liked, Kolt lived life to its fullest. He truly believed in the motto "Live It Up" and tried hard to convince all those who loved him to do the same. He began his life in Junction. It was here that he gained an appreciation for the outdoors. Later, he lived and attended school in Groesbeck. Kolt developed into an athlete and was an avid sports lover. He was a gifted athlete whose time on the field and on the court was too short. He enjoyed all of the activities associated with the outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish, climb, and camp. To remember Kolt is to remember him being active in the outdoors. He loved his friends. If Kolt called you his friend, you knew you could count on him for anything. Most of all, Kolt Russell loved his family and his family loved him. Kolt is survived by his parents, Rusty and Brenda Keith of Bentonville; three brothers, Brandon and Hunter of Bentonville, and Dustin of Cisco; his grandparents, Lloyd and Shirley Keith of Elm Springs, Arkansas, and John and Sherry Bouman of Navarro Mills; and great-grandparents Ennis and Laverne Jetton of Junction. Kolt Russell also left behind aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to list who loved him dearly. He was a truly wonderful person who touched the lives of many different people. Visitation will be held at Mason Funeral Home from 10-11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 10. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Mason with Rev. Bob Cheatheam officiating. Burial will follow in the Cavaness Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Charlie Adams and Jeff Salas of Springdale, AR., Matthew Harris, Travis Hancock and Travis McCurry of Bentonville, AR., Mike Koch and Luke Durbin of Bella Vista, AR., John Bouman and James Bouman of Alaska; Red Griffin of Eldorado, James Gentry of Byers, CO., and Calvin Flowers of Groesbeck. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions made to the following charities to help others break free from their addictions: Harbor House Inc., P.O. Box 4207, Fort Smith, AR., 72914 or Horizons, 3113 S. 70th Street, Fort Smith, AR., 72903. Funeral services are under the direction of Mason Funeral Home. |
