- Leota J. Hickenbottom, age 83, of Junction, passed away Friday, April 2, 2004, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg.
Mrs. Hickenbottom was born in Cameron, West Virginia, on June 1, 1920, to Roy and Mary Clark. On September 9, 1936, Leota married Roy Hickenbottom in New Philly, Ohio.

A resident of Junction and London for over thirty years, Mrs. Hickenbottom was a member of the London Church of Christ.
A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 5, at the London Cemetery with Mr. Richard Horne and Mr. Kim Squiers officiating.
Mrs. Hickenbottom was preceded in death by her husband, Roy and one son, Dean Hickenbottom.
Survivors include five sons, John Hickenbottom of Oklahoma, Gene Hickenbottom of London, Roy Hickenbottom of Houston, Allen Hickenbottom of Junction and Mike Hickenbottom of North Carolina; one daughter, Ann Joiner of London; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of Graham Funeral Home.

Monroe Gray

Monroe Gray, 83, of Big lake, passed away March 30, 2004, in the Reagan County Care Center.
Monroe, a longtime resident of Big Lake, was born in Lampasas, on August 12, 1920. He was a retired oilfield worker.
Survivors include two sons, Milton Gray of Austin and Marshall Gray and wife, Sherri, of San Angelo; four grandsons, Michael of Galveston, Mathew, Mark and Mason of San Angelo; four brothers, Hershel Gray, Bobby Gray, Clarence Gray C.A. Gray of Junction; one sister, Mary Lee Tinny and numerous nieces and nephews.

Byron Lay

Thomas “Pancho” Byron Lay, 69, passed away October 9, 2003, in Conroe. He was born July 21, 1934, in Humble Camp, to Martha Alice Brewer Lay and Thomas Byron Lay. He was an engineer.
A memorial graveside inurnment will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 10, in London Cemetery.
He is survived by one son, Jeffrey Lay of Mesa, Arizona; two daughters, Pamela Friesel and Sherry Young of Conroe; two brothers, William Lay of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Barry Lay of Douglas, Arizona; two sisters, Deborah Hilcove of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Amanda Brenden of Mesa, Arizona; five grandchildren, Terry Lee Buhler, Paul Asley Wilborn, Douglas Ray Buhler, Sierra Dawn Young and Robert Owen Smith; seven great-grandchildren; and one aunt, Eunice Dayton, of London.
