Porfirio “Pilo” Castillo - Porfirio .Pilo. Castillo, 77, of Portales, New Mexico, died Saturday, April 7, 2007, in Lubbock. He was born February 26, 1930. He married Manuela Rodriguez on November 16, 1949. Services were held on Wednesday and Thursday, April 11 and 12, in St. Teresa.s Catholic Church in Friona, with burial in the Friona Cemetery. Survivors include five daughters, one of whom is Anna Gomez and husband, Alvaro, Sr.; two sons; six siblings; one granddaughter, Melissa Ortiz; one grandson, Alvaro Gomez, Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Destynea Martinez; and numerous nephews and nieces, one of whom is Irma Castillo Loeffler of Junction.
