Robert Wayne Anderson, 31, formerly of Mason, died May 18, 2003. Services were at Grace Fellowship Church of Mason Wednesday, May 21, at 10 a.m. with interment following at Cavaness Cemetery. Family visitation was at the church from 6 until 8 pm. Tuesday, May 20. Arrangements were by Aubrey Fife Funerals. He is survived by his wife Sherrie; daughters, Madison and Sydney; step-sons, Justin and Aaron Oxford; his parents, Margie Wilson of Mason and Wayne Anderson of Tow; sister, Crystal Haley of Rockdale; grandparents Imagene and Dennie Jackson of Mason and Josephine Anderson of Elgin. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Eddie Ray Dockal and Winnie Anderson. Pallbearers were Robert Leatherwood, Bob Chapman, Charles Herbst, Michael Zavala, Mitchell McGowan, Tom Dockal, Shane Haley and Allen Marshall. Robert was born March 5, 1972, in Austin. He was a student of Mason ISD for 12 years and graduated from Rockdale High School in 1991. He and Sherrie married July 26, 1997, in Mason. He loved spending time with his daughters. Robert was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He was employed by Pedernales Electric Cooperative. Mary Vieve Reed, 84, of Mason, died Monday, May 19, 2003, in Junction. Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 22, at 2 p.m., in the Leatherwood Memorial Chapel in Brady with interment at Lohn Cemetery, in Lohn. Brother Denny Ray Jackson officated. Pallbearers were her grandsons. Mary was born on April 14, 1919, in Red Oak to Worth Rockett Smith and Angelina Sophronia Knotts Smith. She married John Richard Bailey in Menard, and later married Donald Reed in Llano in 1986. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mason and lived in Mason for almost 40 years. Mary was a homemaker and loved camping, music, reading and painting. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, John Richard Bailey in 1984 and Donald Reed in 1989, one daughter, Mary Alice Bailey and two brothers. She is survived by two sons, Johnnie Lorance “Hoby” Bailey and wife, Ivy Lee, of Mason and Richard Earl Bailey of Junction; two daughters, Angela Arlene Awtrey and husband, Robert Joe, of Junction and Carolyn Bernice Airheart and husband, Gordon Gail, of Mason; one brother, Vernon Lorance Smith and wife, Mary, of Gorman; two sisters, Bernice Ruth Ellis and Wanda Lee Degal, both of Brady. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Larry Jones, 59, of Llano, died May 22, 2003, in Llano. Graveside services were held Saturday, May 24, 2003, at Llano City Cemetery with Rev. Michael Orsini officiating. Larry was born July 9, 1943, in Junction, and married Sylvia Gordon March 7, 1969, in Ozona. He was a mapper, appraiser in the computer department of the Llano County Appraisal District. Larry was raised a Baptist and had lived in Llano since 1983. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia (Susie); one son, Duane Jones and wife, Kelley; two daughters, Jerri Kaye Majkszak and and husband, Kerry, and Kelli Baugh-Tudyk and husband, Martin, all of Llano; two brothers, Jimmie Jones of Lometa and Carroll Jones of Granite Shoals; two sisters, Louise Fleming of Kingsland, and Nita Miller of Llano; five grandchildren, Daniel Hipp, Dustin Jones, Grant Jones, Avery Tudyk and Lauren Tudyk; one great-granddaughter, Kyla Hipp and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers were his many close friends and family. Arrangements were under the direction of Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Homes, Inc. Patricia Diana Haines Smith, 50, passed away May 24, 2003, at her home in Junction. She was born January 14, 1953, to Ida Faye and Leonard Haines in Junction. Patricia is survived by twin boys, Kody Smith of Junction and Korey Smith of Winchel; one daughter, Diana Faye Smith of Junction; her mother, Ida Faye Haines of Junction; two sisters, Carolyn Peyton of Bryan and Brenda Massey of Winchel; one brother, Leonard Dell Haines of Harper, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Haines; one nephew, Nickey Haines; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Pettigrew and Mr. and Mrs. Earley Haines. Graveside services were held, Sunday, May 25, in the Junction Cemetery at 2 p.m. Pall bearers were her nephews.
